Workshop Overview

Evidence-based, Explicit teaching of Executive Function and Study Skills for IB Students

​

The workshop will examine how schools can explicitly teach executive function skills, including planning, goal-setting, memory, flexible thinking and self-regulation, within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework.

​

These skills influence how students manage their learning and develop independence. The session will connect the IB approach with explicit instruction in executive function and study skills, with a focus on student autonomy, agency and engagement.

​

Participants will receive practical resources and classroom strategies they can apply in their teaching.
